South Carolina Resources

There are a number of Medicaid, medicare and medi-cal programs that are available throughout South Carolina. They understand that there is currently a medical crisis that has to do with addiction in this and many other southern states in our nation.

New addiction and treatment offerings are being put in place throughout the state of South Carolina, so that those that are struggling with this type of addiction are able to receive the help they need so that it can drastically reduce the amount of OD’s that are seen. These protocols are put in place to recognize the signs of ODs and treat them immediately, so that less lives are lost because of drugs.

Those that have Medicaid, medicare, medi-cal or other state funded insurance programs can find addiction recovery help and treatment through the resources provided below. There is always help when you need or want it, regardless if you have private insurance coverage or not.

NOTE: Overdose deaths by type of opioid are not mutually exclusive and should not be summed. Synthetic opioid deaths do not include deaths due to methadone. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) drugs are: methadone (M), buprenorphine (B), and naltrexone (N). Naltrexone includes both oral and injectable. An IMD (Institution for Mental Disease) is an inpatient facility with over 16 beds.
